Organizational Change
The need for change is an inevitable part of the cycle of organizational life. Over time the environment in which an organization operates, its external and internal constituencies, funding patterns, technology and even the problems that it is mandated to address all evolve, shift and can look very different from the realities that informed current structures, programs and processes.
Savvy executives and board leaders recognize and embrace the need for change as an opportunity to re-imagine, reinvigorate and transform, to elevate to a new level of excellence. Yet it is often difficult to identify exactly where to start and to shift from familiar patterns and perspectives. Frequently there is division or conflict among board members and among staff about the need for change, its direction or even the appropriate ways to address these questions.
